Wanted to share this...
This is a picture of my stepfather CJ's hands as he works on a decoy. It was a present to me which I will cherish forever. His work has been recognized in "North Carolina's Down East" magazine and other media publications. His work is traditionally inspired and accomplished with whittler's knife, a small block plain, even a shard of glass to exact his expression and detail into each work. He is and remains true to tradition of nature. I am proud to call him a father though not blood related he has brought wisdom (if I would ever listen to it) and inspiration to my life and art. For information on his work please head on over to Mackey's, NC and look for the "Whittle, Piddle, and Diddle" shop. Chances are you will find CJ on a tractor, working in his garden, or in his shop carving away...that if he isn't out fishing for speckled trout!!! Heck you better just get up with me...easier that way. Love you CJ
Please go to my pictures to see the gift and the Hands of an Artist.
I want to take this time to extend a thank you to all that have been supporting the tunes and music throughout the year. Without each of you I would not be able to extend the music outside of my local environment. Wishing each of you a grand start to the New Year and continued success throughout 2012 and beyond. Keep the music flowin!!!
