For the first time in 12 Bands history, every song included on the CD is an original track. Furthermore, 12 Bands is thrilled to have Davidson Fine Arts students on the 2011 release (3rd Shift members attend DFA) and we’re excited to include the Wombats on the CD and at the December 18th concert where they will give Augustans a log awaited reunion show.

Both will be available on iTunes, cdbaby, Amazon, Rhapsody and more! I will let you know the release date really soon...so stay tuned in to www.JimPerkinsLive.com!! Cheers! Jim
Hello Everybody!! Just want to say thanks to my friends and everybody that's been so supportive through the years...Great news!! I am going back in the studio to finish up my second album....some of you guys still have and remember the first one from 2002?? Wow...I know, been a while since I turned something new out on a disc...well, much to my excitement, the new album touches on a lot of different phases and trips and bruises throughout the past few years...the cd will include some electric riffs from some very talented friends of mine, and some really melodic and raw acoustic on a few songs as well... When I started this project back in August, I was just gonna "hit it and quit it."...lol, meaning, run in the studio, crank out 4 or 5 songs with just me and the Taylor acoustic, and head back to Nashville to try to make something go...Now, some of the songs have grown and transformed dramatically into some really catchy tunes, for instance... "Charleston", one on the original cd, now has been totally redone...very excited for y'all to hear it. It's been going over very well at the recent shows...(thank you for that:) What started out as just 4 or 5 songs is now turning into a completely new and fully produced full-length album...with a bit of blues, folk, soul...and a lot of heart...all mixed together...cheers....hope to have it all wrapped up for y'all to open and enjoy in a couple months... Now it's 2008 and I'm still gigging....MOST RECENTLY...I've had the opportunity to share the stage with Ken Block & Drew Copeland of Sister Hazel, Nashville Star Chris Young, and Doug Jones of Cravin Melon...had a blast...:) I have been writing and planning my next trip to the studio to do the second album...and another trip to Nashville...!! Thanks for all your love, Jim
