Hello friends: Here is a short update of what I have been up to this month. Basically I have been rehearsing with my good friend Peter who puts tribute bands together in Calgary, I have been learning many cover tunes from bands such as The Doors, Journey, Tina Turner and many more. We have also been working on some original songs with Dessi the guitar player and the guys want to hit the studio and lay some tracks later on this fall. I am no longer in The Eddie Black Band...I would like to wish Eddie all the best with his music. I did record one track on drums in the studio with Eddie. I will keep you posted on any future performances right here and also on my Twitter and Facebook sites.
Hope you are all having a great summer!

The Lilac Festival on the 27 of May was the highlight of the year. Playing for over 100 000 spectators on the X92.9 stage, David drummed for The Heartwicks and was broadcast live on X92.9 fm. David was also featured on the Heartwicks Black EP and played for their release party at Broken City. He later toured Western Canada to support the Black EP and made his way into The Calgary Herald, Calgary's largest newspaper in an article on The Heartwicks.
In October, David was honored to work with Gene Greenwood, a prominent music video director from Vancouver, BC who has worked with famous artists such as Slash, Led Zeppelin, Kid Rock and Fergie to name a few. David was the drummer for Negative Earth's video, Gloomy Sunday and was shot with the band in a church scene.
