Hello, all my friends/family/kickassRockstarNinjas!! As most of you know by now, I have been working with the awesome folks at New York Rock Exchange for the past several months, helping them to launch their revolutionary new website. It has been my honor and privilege to be the first artist featured by them, with the spotlight on my song “Rockstar”. A lot of you are very familiar with this awesome song written by my friend Brad Wolf, with Stephanie Smith and Nettie Music.
To celebrate the launch of New York Rock Exchange, I did a show in my hometown of St. Louis, Missouri back in October along with my first Stageit show the following day. Both shows were a great success, and I want to thank everyone who came to the live show and those of you who tuned in the next day to Stageit.
Here's how New York Rock Exchange works: being the first artist featured by them, they chose “Rockstar” as the very first song fans can buy “shares” of. NYRE printed a limited edition 250 shares of my song, and when these are gone, they're gone. Forever. There will never be more shares of “Rockstar” printed or sold, so they will only increase in value over time.
Each share purchased comes with a beautiful stock certificate, individually numbered and signed by me; a gorgeous limited edition print of the artwork I created for the cover of my record; and all of this comes in an awesome “sleeve” that looks like an old LP record cover. You also get a small royalty check!
When you purchase a share of “Rockstar”, you actually own a little piece of that recording. This is a rare treat for fans, and NYRE has more artists with more of your favorite songs on the way. As I'm writing this, there are only 33 of the original 250 shares left to purchase, and only 13 days before they'll be gone forever. I want to thank all my friends/family/awesome Ninjas who have already purchased shares, and for those of you who haven't yet, I encourage you to do so before time & shares both run out!
