Mixing sessions underway

Hey everybody! It is with great pleasure that I announce that the mixing sessions for the upcoming EP album "Letting go..." (tentative) are underway, and man are the song sounding huge!!! The EP will include four songs previously released as demos, 'Take Control', 'Release', 'End of Days', and 'Lullaby', as well as new songs 'Imbecile', 'Reprise', and a beautiful, hearfelt ballad called 'Apple Skin'. Also, stay tuned, because throughout the recording sessions, we put together a Depeche Mode cover for shits and giggles and will be releasing it as a FREE download simultaneously with the album!!! Which song, you ask?! Well... you'll have to stay tuned for that. ;) It has been a very productive and creative month for The Purge Effect and we can't wait to share our music with the world. Thank you all for your support and patience while we work hard at giving you all the best of us musically. Love all, E. David.

New songs, new shirts, and a warm welcome our drummer!

First things first: Thank you all so much for the support The Purge Effect has received since it launched. It's this warmth that keeps the project alive, and keeps me inspired to write more songs. I've been working on some shirt designs, the first of which is now available for sale at our ReverbStore. It's inspired on the song 'Release', and it's conceptually called 'I'm Letting Go'. Hope you like it, and more so, hope to see many of you wearing it to our first show, which should be happening pretty soon. I'm happy to announce that our live line-up is complete, and the repertoire is being polished for a bangin' show. It's going to be really amazing, so stay tuned, you won't want to miss it!!! Speaking of which, I want to give Ricardo Mercado my warmest welcome to The Purge Effect family. Ricardo has been Dossis's (my other Spanish Alternative band from Puerto Rico) drummer for many years, and he brings a lot of punch and energy to the live performance. I can't wait to share the stage with him again, this time in the U.S. Many good things are coming in the following months. Stay tuned and keep rockin! -Dave
