On March 30, the Haiti Projekt became available. The Progressive Rock community's charity CD "The Haiti Projekt" is an effort to raise money for the victims of the Haiti earthquake disaster in January, 2010. With a death toll estimated to be more than 200,000 and with over 300,000 injured and millions without homes, food, or water, the need for humanitarian help is immense. The Haiti Projekt is a compilation of 40 songs donated by famous and not-so-famous prog bands from around the globe. The list includes prog luminaries such as Neal Morse (Neal Morse, Spocks Beard), IZZ, Roine Stolt (Agents of Mercy, Transatlantic, Flower Kings), Randy George (Ajalon), Dave Meros (Dave Meros, Spocks Beard), and a special appearance by Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Planet X) on the Relocator tune. Pinnacle contributed a remake of "Timberline" and marks their first recording as a quartet, now that Matt Francisco has joined the band.

Tuonen Tytär (Mellow Records MMP385) was issued in 2000. It's a tribute to Finnish Progressive Rock of the '70s and organized by Colossus, a Finnish progrock club. They organized Volume 2 which was released this week on Musea Records (France). Pinnacle was asked to participate and we chose to do the Finnforest instrumental "Paikalliset Tuulet."
A VERY SPECIAL BENEFIT FOR THE FELLOWSHIP FOR METLAR HOUSE MUSEUM: Please Welcome Poland's RIVERSIDE for their ONLY non-festival gig in the USA with special guests Pinnacle.
Riverside is a real cool band from Poland. They wowed the audience at NEARfest in 2006 and have a few CDs out on InsideOut Music. They'll be coming to North America to play at FMPM in Montreal and ProgPower USA in Atlanta. But before any of these, they'll be playing at the Crossroads Theatre located at 71 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, New Jersey. Pinnacle will be the opening band for Riverside's only non-festival concert of this tour. Needless to say, we Pinnacle boys are stoked to be a part of this concert. So can you, listening to some great music and saving history at the same time!
