Hey everybody. For most of you, this is the first time you've ever heard from me. For many, it's the first time in almost two years. For starters, let me just say how amazed I am at how many email contacts I've amassed over these few years. To be honest, my entire musical career exists solely on the internet. It blows my mind to think about people I've never even heard of across the country listening to me on their iPod while jogging, doing homework, or playing video games. I just want to thank you all for that first thirty seconds that you spent not skipping over the first song you heard by me, which was probably Moonlight Sonata, Koyaanisqatsi, or Neither Man nor God.
Well, 2010 is the start of something new for me, and I want to share it with you guys, and I want you all to share it with your friends. I turn 22 on Wednesday, and in the weeks leading up to it, I've done something I've wanted to do for a very long time. I wrote and recorded a song with vocals. I really had to step out of my comfort zone with this one, but I can tell you that YOU are that which gives me confidence. Your comments, emails, and simple act of joining the mailing list is what makes it worth putting anything and everything on the line. I see people using my music on Youtube videos and Newgrounds flash cartoons, and I read the comments. I know that I don't really put myself out there, and I know how hard you guys had to search the depths of the web to find where I host my music. The fact that I can get as many listeners as I have without whoring myself on Myspace gives me the strength to carry on when normally I would give up.
So go to my page. Check out the new song. From now on, whenever I post a song with vocals, I'll post the instrumental with it, and Bounce is no exception. For those of you who prefer instrumentals, I won't go changing on you.
Oh, and I finally figured out that the reason why many of my songs are cutting out at the end is because they are over the 8MB limit and ReverbNation trims the fat by stopping the upload at 8MB. Knowing this, I can finally fix those cut-off songs, and I will inform you all when that happens, which will be soon.
Once again, you are the reason I do this.
For those of you who knew me as Oni Meteorix, I've changed my name. I'm going by my real name now. A new era of music has began for me, and to inaugurate it, I present Heartless.
The final cut of Moonlight Sonata has been uploaded and is available for download to fans only! Go check it out! You won't be disappointed.
The mp3 for Moonlight Sonata was corrupted, so I re-uploaded it and it should play all the way through now.
Secondly, Allen Awesome has used this song for a Newgrounds Flash video. You can see it at http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/428420 . Show Allen your support by voting!
