Crossbones Inc / Blog

WE'RE BACK!!!!!

Its official, Crossbones Inc. is now back in business. It's been over a year since our last show and I decided it’s time to start the band up again. We have a brand new lineup that I am happy to be working and excited for all the new songs that we are doing and bring back a few classics.

Some people might wonder why I am reviving the band and not just starting a new band. I always felt like Crossbones Inc. was a big part of me and as I grew up as an artist, so did the band. I will say that I always consider myself more of a songwriter/artist than an actually musician. I went through a lot of personal stuff this past year that I had to deal with but now I am back and want to express my thoughts and opinions through my art and I couldn’t think of any better way than to express them but through Crossbones Inc.

Our first show back will be at Third Street Dive in Louisville on August 31. So come on out and grab a beer and meet the new line up. If you can’t make it hopefully we can come to a city near you soon.

Update October 3.2011

Ok people time for an update from Crossbones. First of all, we are going into hiatus for a couple months. Our last show for the year will be on the 15th at Underdogs. This doesn't mean the band is breaking up but instead we will start recording our first full length album at the end of this month. There will be 10-13 songs ranging from zombies to dirty politicians. We are very exicted and we expect to finish recording by the end of January and have a release date hopefully by March 2012. We will be planning a tour in support of this new album in March too. We haven't choosen a name or art work for it. It will be released on our new label, Broken Fuel Gauge Records. Which brings us to our next subject. Yes we are leaving Riotous Records. This is in no way on bad terms or anything so that will put any rumors to rest. Dave Hyde has been great to all of us here at Crossbones and it was a pleasure working with Dave. Riotous Records is made up of some great people who really care about what they do. Coming in the next few days is our new band logo. We won't let out details but we have soon previews and are very exicted about it. It is very much a representation of what we are and it looks fucking cool as hell. We would like to thank Renee from Vice and Virtue Studio in Berea for designing so a great piece of art work. Also we are going to start updating our various sites and making finding CBI stuff more streamline for you the fan so you may notice some changes. Look for these changes in the next few days. You may notice a different guy behind the set now. We are offically announcing that Kenny Harris from Katazi is now our permanent drummer. We are very pleased with his skills behind the set. He has came on board and really put forth a 100% with us.
