I have always wrote strange music in my head, but I was never able to translate it into reality because I was a horrible musician. I bought a 4 track player many years ago, and started making doo wop songs, with me providing all of the sounds. As technology caught up to my ideas, I am now able to combine elements of my musical visions and electronic music together. I am fortunate and lucky to work with so many talented people as well. The song "Electric Dreams" is a tribute to doo wop, electropop, the power of love, and a secret surprise, which is still to come. Thank you all for supporting me. MA
I favor writing songs based on concept ideas. I have written many songs based on some outrageous concepts. "Baby (Part 1)" was originally titled "Redneck Love Song", while I wrote "The Unspoken" by watching a romance movie with the sound turned off. Even my latest song, "Quake" came about based on the concept of the sound of an earthquake and a heartbeat. MA
This is the most personal song that I have written in my life. It is about my 5 year relationship that failed because I had to leave because of an illness in my family. She loved me more than life itself, and I didn't know what I wanted out of life. Sometimes life throws you curves that you never saw coming or expected. NO NO Yeah Yeah...Why was I so indecisive?
This song is a social statement about the universal power of love. We all tend to forget that we need each other regardless of color, creed, or any other outside influences. "Love is..." is a major sound departure from all of my previous songs, but I really felt that I wanted to make a strong statement with it. Don't worry though, I will be back to writing dance songs very soon. MA
I have always loved dance music, especially watching people getting excited when they hear their favorite dance song being played. I have wanted to write a 'club banger' for a long time, but I knew that it would have to occur naturally.
And, now it has happened.
I am releasing my first dance club anthem, "Baby (Part 2)" on Sunday, October 14. This is the first song that Wide Black Sky and I wrote together from 'scratch'. It's also the first song in which we both sing.
"Baby 2" will make you shake and gruv!!!
There are many times in our life when we wish that we could or would have said something different or at least have said something at all, yet we didn't. "The Unspoken" says all of that and more.
I will always remember that magic day in the studio when we recorded "The Unspoken" with Jennifer Leigh. She has an incredible voice and it's almost as if she was meant to sing this song.
Don't you agree...
This song is the first song in which I wrote the music and words, and was the first song that I ever recorded in the studio. It also has been the most difficult song to complete. I am proud to announce that it is finally being released. I hope that you enjoy its haunting melody. MA
All of my songs will always be available for FREE download for my fans. Thanks for listening. MA
