Things are happening...

Week by week Ive been doing as much as Bruntnells studio availability will allow in working on the next release. You shall see a new album this year and hopefully it will be worth the wait for you. Im really pleased with the recording so far and this time around I have some very special guests featuring on it. Hope to see you at one of my shows soon. Cheers Jim

New album n stuff!!

If you havent been keeping up to date with things on at our facebook page, I just wanted to take a couple of minutes to fill you in.. Due to being busy writing the new album we are only going to be playing a handful of gigs this summer and a couple of festivals, so we thought it would be great fun and a good opportunity to try and get on the Greenman Festival line up in Wales this year. As is the way in this industry (unless you are minted) there is no easy way so WE REALLY NEED YOU to help us!! Please can you take 2 minutes of your day to give us a vote. You need to be logged in to facebook and then follow the link below: http://www.greenman.net/rising/2013/small-town-jones then click the "like" button underneath where it says vote on the Small Town Jones Green man rising website page. We are also set to return to the Big Smoke in July on the 17th to play a showcase night alongside our good friends The Dreaming Spires & Jack Harris. The address is: The Islington, 1 Tolpuddle Street, N1 0XT. London Doors: 8pm Tickets: £8 in advance. Get tickets here: www.wegottickets.com/event/228381 The new album is shaping up well and generating a lot of buzz from our management so Im looking forward to it being recorded and hopefully it will be available by the end of the year followed by a torrent of gigs organised by our brilliant label and management At The Helm Records and Brighthelmstone Promotions

Once again thanks so much for your support. See you soon Jim

Another Lazy Sunday film

The Video shoot with the guys from Another Lazy Sunday went really this weekend. Finding themselves far from the Big Smoke who would have thought they would have ended up in a sand storm!! I think they may have managed to capture something of some quality between gusts but it was great all the same spending time with those guys. They had an even more memorable journey home having a near death experience, surviving (unscathed) writing off their car on the North Devon Link Road!! A weekend to remember in more ways than one. The film they shot is going live on their site on Saturday 2nd June. Check it out with a "Blazing Saddles" style campfire interview at www.anotherlazysunday.co.uk More exciting news coming soon!! Cheers for now Jim
