Artist Bio
Itu & The JoyStars hail from Sydney NSW Australia and are the creative wild child of singer songwriter “Itu”. With Fijian/Rotuman background, Itu grew up in rural & South Coast regions of NSW Australia.
For the past few years Itu has been showcasing her work to packed venues across the country including high profile music festivals such as Newtown, Surry Hills, Peats Ridge, Village Arts and Yag’ubi to name a few. In 2007 she released her album ‘Love & Light’ produced by Chris Gray (and features muso's Ben Thompson, Pete Skelton, Scott Aplin, Sam Benge, Claire Wyndham, Salome Tukuafu).
In the same year she formed The JoyStars (Brian Campeau on lead guitar, Steve Short on bass, Michal Siczynski on drums and guest vocalist Claire Wyndham on harmonies). Since then Itu & The JoyStars have been a permanent fixture on the Sydney music scene.
