Staring in dead silence, Jon and Mike were furiously pointing kitchen knives at each other from across the room. Bleeding from scratches and pacing in circles,  they looked like two enemies fighting over something more meaningful than who would drink the last beer.  As Marshall was attempting to talk them down, Chris grabbed the beer, ran out the door and down the stairs.  Unwilling to give up the prize, Mike leapt from the second story balcony to tackle Chris and bring the fight to the street.  As he hit the ground, two sharp cracks rang out and Mike was left curled in a ball holding his ankles.  The night ended in the ER with Mike in casts and Jon wheeling him out with an evil grin.  Four weeks later when the casts came off and the first practice was held, Mike refused to wash his feet and Stinkfoot was born.

  Since that night in early 2008, Stinkfoot set out to make their mark on the St Louis rock scene.  Starting with almost no experience, they intended to put together a high energy, live rock show featuring their original music.  The band caught momentum in 2009 when they recorded their first track, Smile, with local legend Brad Booker (Stir, Gravity Kills, Apartment 26).  They used that initial track to book gigs at premiere venues in St Louis starting in late 2009 and have been gigging steadily since.    Upcoming highlights include playing the Live Loud and Local festival  at Fubar, and at Vintage Vinyl as part of the PLAY:stl festival.
