More About Carl Davis Band
The Carl Davis Band
Davis is the rare musician who is true to the spirit of the blues, rather than clinging to an unchangeable script written years before he was born. Although he began his career playing post-war Chicago blues and West Coast jump, Davis has evolved from that point into a more soulful R&B-influenced artist that at once speaks to modern listeners and allows him to be more of a songwriter.
Carl has been sideman for many of Chicago's great artists including, the late Little Mack Simmons, Detroit Junior, Joe Moss, Ross Bon, The Special 20's and many others. Davis has been fronting his own act for over a decade.
Carl Davis has built a name for himself in the Chicago music scene for over a decade by writing great material, putting on as entertaining a live show as anyone in town, and by being the guy audiences and bookers alike want to see back in their favorite venues.
