More About Rushmore

Scott

Scott Josephson - Bass/Keys/Pedals/Samplers/Programming

Scott is a bass player who loves to play all kinds of Progressive Rock from the 60's, 70's and 80's. He also plays synths, keys, and pedals. Scott has been a die-hard Rush fan for 34 years and believes that Rush's music deserves to be respected and that is why he attempts to recreate Geddy's bass and key parts note-for-note.  He also tries to recreate the synth sounds that Geddy created becuase it is a vital part of Rush's music.  Scott feels honored to have found his counterpart professional musicians in forming this band.  He also dabbles in writing some songs. He goofs off a lot too.

Brent

Brent Stalnaker - Drums/Percussion

Brent is an energized drummer with a relentless approach to playing the kit. " Quite simply", he states, " If a drummer is going to take on the syncopated prowess of  Neil Peart ... the part has to be played with impeccable precision." Brent's hunger for giving 100% on his instrument puts him in a category of drummers that will not settle for less than the very best.

 Bob

Bob Vandenberg-Guitars

Ever since Bob can remember, he's been interested in the guitar, whether playing it or watching/listening to someone else play.  He has a variety of influences including, of course, Rush's Alex Lifeson.  Bob put the guitar down for a few years to pursue a career in teaching, but the musicial itch came back strong in 2008.  After numerous jam sessions and auditions, he answered an online ad for a "Rush only" guitarist.   Having been a Rush fan for years, he jumped at the chance.  Playing in Rushmore has been challenging, rewarding, and fun.

 Bonner

Bonner Ballinger- Vocals

I bought 2112 in the late 70's and have been a fan ever since. I have all the early rush on vinyl. I used to sing along with the boombox while in the shower. I have never been in a band where the musicality was so precise and where we all play as a cohesive unit. Everyone does their part well and we simply enjoy playing. We all want to honor Geddy, Alex , and Neil. Rushmore looks forward to sharing our music and have a blast doing it.
