Artist Bio

Urban Prophetz are a Brisbane (Australia) based Hip Hop crew,and collaboration of Solo artists widely known for their contributions to the Hip Hop Community through Hip Hop Workshops, MC Battle Events, Talent Competitions and movements. The work ethic projected by the Crew over the past 7 years has earned them the respect of Industry Members and Fans alike.

RECOGNITION...
In 2010, Urban Prophetz, received the Best Ethnic Act Award from the AAMMA's and in 2011 a Highly Commended honour from the Queensland Music Awards in 2011 for their song "No Place Like Home". In 2011, Phreaze was also nominated as FEMALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR by Star Central Magazine, comming in runner-up in the publicly voted competition with 2179 votes.

The Urban Prophetz, currently consists of Phreaze (female MC / Producer), Rawz (MC/Beatbox), Rymez (Vocalist)and Official Urban Prophetz DJ Serge. As soloists, these artists present both technical lyrical content, but also strong projection and unique flows, always ensuring a “message” in every song. With strong roots from Aotearoa, Urban Prophetz promote diversity by encompassing a variety of styles, utilising a number of producers, mixing unique instruments with Hip Hop beats and topics.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS...
Other major accomplishments include the support of International acts such as BOYZ II MEN (USA), BONE THUGS N HARMONEY, OUTLAWZ (USA), SAVAGE (NZ),SMASHPROOF (NZ), 2FACE IDIBIA (AFRICA) & PROJECT X (USA) and a Reggae Remix Set in support of SONS OF ZION (NZ). The new UPC album CALL OF DUTY was released to a Sold Out audience in late 2010 with the video for the “No Place Like Home” Single due for release late March 2011 in conjuction withe the Urban Prophetz Australian Tour.
