Artist Bio

Scout Da Psalmist grew up in Pflugerville, Texas right outside of Austin . After hearing The D.O.C.’s “Nobody Can Do It Better” Scout decided to start practicing and doing freestyle sets wherever he could. In 1998, Scout started performing with the gospel band Malachi as the back up singer and rapper. From there, Scout started doing more solo shows where he opened for other locals like Salvador and Critical Issue. Through the years Scout has grown his style of hip-hop with a blend of lyricism and storytelling while speaking the truth of his life as a Christian. Scout has preformed at many legendary places like Stubbs’ BBQ, Liberty Grill, venues on 6th Street and events like South by Southwest and the Old Pecan Street Fall Arts Festival. He regularly performs for many chartable organizations like Hope worldwide and the Red Cross. Scout is member for the hip-hop crew Concept7. In 2007, he and Tim Saiza started Saiza Inc records on which Scout is just about to release his new solo album “Emceeing Again”.
