This is how 3voor12 (a famous Dutch pop magazine) described Excused after seeing the EP-presentation of Automobile. The Excused-men find a successful balance between the sensitive ballads and more uptempo songs during their shows. The Amsterdam based band Excused was formed in 2005 and in released their first EP in May 2007, Breaking News. The songs on the EP Braking News tell about the illness of singer Willem van der Kooij. With the release of the second EP Automobile Excused makes clear that this melancholy period is over. The songs on Automobile are sleek, sharp and upbeat. The characteristic choruses on Automobile won't get quickly out of your head!
