Artist Bio

Whether playing a smooth ballad to relax the mind or a funky groove to lift your spirits, JTucker knows how to deliver. Born in Richmond, Virginia, JTucker was introduced to the world of music by his father, who started him on the bass guitar. By the age of 9, JTucker took on the interest of learning the trumpet and joined the school’s concert band. He emerged as the star band pupil throughout elementary, middle and high school, all the while developing a deep love for jazz. From this training, he realized that music was his life and there would be no life without music! He went on to expand his horizons by attending Virginia Commonwealth University as a Jazz Studies Major where he received private instruction from the renowned John D’earth and also performed with the VCU Jazz Orchestra and small jazz combos.

JTucker offers Contemporary Jazz with a tough of Soul and R&B. With his extensive musical knowledge, passion and experience, JTucker creates music that is intended for the soul which lends itself to any occasion.
