Cheek has its roots in strong songwriting and original visual performances - that's the way it will always be. It all started on a building site when singer-songwriter, Ian luther, realised the potential of the sound of trowels on bricks. By integrating that sound with a very British building site phenomenon, the 'builders bum', catchy pop song writing and some quirky choreography, 'Cheek' was born.
National newspaper coverage, radio airplay and primetime TV performances followed the release of the single, 'Builders Bum'.
'Cheek' was then developed into a touring theatre show with a full roster of new pop-rock tracks and original visual sequences also using other percussion sounds of the building site. The show debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
With the release of the album (in 2010) 'No Job Too Big Or Small' Cheek enters another phase. Where it will end nobody knows, but the guys just hope that people discover them and enjoy the ride.
