Babies in the backseat cause accidents. Accidents in the backseat cause babies. The musical accident known as Devoutcast began in the summer of 2011, in Aurora, CO. The sound Devoutcast pioneered is class with a little sass. Melodic guitars and pounding drums are what make up the body of music from Devoutcast. Frankie Dee of 103.9 WRCN said, “Melody is missing from a lot of bands, it’s so hard to do and you guys pull it off!”
The first musical release by the band came in April of 2012. A humble 5 track EP labeled, “Something Wicked,” hit the shelves and didn’t even apologize. Included with that release was the hit track, “Mr. Stranger.” “Mr. Stranger wields a certain true grit with its walls of guitar hooks and electrifying riffs. The aggression, angst, and anger all bubble up to the front, and Devoutcast sound like an uncaged beast ready to rip rock ‘n’ roll apart," Jasper Magazine. Devoutcast decided to allow all 5 tracks from the EP for free download to all their fans. With the change in the way music is promoted in today’s world, they felt that this would be a great way to get their music out to their fans. With an EP under their belt, Devoutcast began to grow in popularity. With several shows at the Gothic Theater, the 16th street mall, Hard Rock Café, and Casselmans, Devoutcast gained the popularity of a loose high school chick.
“That was impressive!”

Rick Jamm - Jamsphere Magazine
“Heavy guitar riffs are the engine that drives this band, propelled by a tight-to-the-bone rhythm section and topped by an impressive vocal performance, a perfect balance between swagger and melody.”
Andrea Caccese - Sit Still Promotion
“Devoutcast takes the rock you know and raises it up to a new level of intensity. This Denver, Colorado band hits you right in the gut with heavy riffs, but makes you love them with their catchy hooks and the Silverchair-esque scratchy vocals. There’s something dark and melodic in Devoutcast’s sound.”
