“Conversation soon turns to Wayne’s new EP, The Firebrand, scheduled for release on the 1st of November. Largely written on tour with the Manics, Wayne's illustrious band-mates had a significant impact on the creation of the EP as he revealed, “Nicky [Wire] and James [Dean Bradfield] were so encouraging. Nicky offered to write the words for No Comfort From Your Skin. “Fresh from announcing plans for a new album and tour, Manic Street Preachers' James Dean Bradfield and Nicky Wire have contributed to a new song on the forthcoming EP from their live guitarist. As well as his work with the Welsh outfit, Wayne Murray also fronts a project named Boy Cried Wolf. The Manics pair feature on his song 'No Comfort From My Skin', taken from 'The Firebrand EP', set for release in August. Bradfield plays guitar on the song while Wire has written the lyrics.
