A quick look at some local talent

PETER VAN NUIS FOR THE LOVE OF PETE , (Independent 2009)
Peter Van Nuis is a local Belleville musician best known for performing with his band, the Petes. Although this is billed as a solo album, the other Petes contribute to the recording. Pete Smits plays bass and Rob Johnson adds piano and backing vocals.

Highway of Heroes is a touching tribute to the brave men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces, to whom Van Nuis dedicated the album.
Why Do I Write Songs is a country ballad. Esquire Grill features Belleville blues-man Matt Smith on mandolin. Smith also plays some stellar slide guitar and dobro on other tracks.
What Would You Do has a Latin groove and features local brass master, Blair Yarranton on trumpet.
Other highlights include With Every Heartbeat, Showing You to Me and We Are All the Same.
