Led by Harrison Weese, aka Mr. Hari Kari, has finally assembled the band he's been searching for. When you hear HK 2011 you will agree this was worth the wait!
Harrison Weese (Lead Vocals, Harmonica) Originally from Akron, Ohio, he began his career as a founding member of the band, DEVO. He then toured the Eastern Seaboard with the regionally popular band, Yankee. After his move to California, he formed Hari Kari and toured the western US extensively, charted import records in England and was featured on MTV Music News in 1982. Hari Kari was very successful and performed a series of record company showcases with Arista, CBS and Capitol Records, which lead to performing tour dates with Steppenwolf, Y & T, Blue Oyster Cult, Motley Crue and Eddie Money. After several close calls with major record labels the group later disbanded with members going on to play with such popular groups as Boston and The Eric Martin Band.
Mark Gosney (Guitar, Vocals) lives and works in the Sonora area of the Sierra foothills of Northern California. His solo music has been ranked #1 Progressive Rock Song on several music websites, he recently completed a beautiful home studio and has an online guitar teaching course. His solo music can be heard at www.markgosney.com Mark is an incredible guitarist who can play many styles and will entertain you with his virtuoso solos, intricate guitar work and tones. Mark led the band Crimson Bond in the 90's with great success, having won a Bay Area Battle of the Bands and opening shows for artists like Rick Emmet of Triumph, Jeff Watson of Night Ranger, Atlantic and Shrapnel Records recording artists Vicious Rumors and Savotage.
Chris Pearre (Keyboards, Vocals) is originally from Maryland, Chris started his music career in California by winning his first synthesizer in 1979. He played in the rock groups Raven and Eargoggles in Modesto in the 80's. In 2001, he joined smooth jazz group James Michael Joseph, which produced a CD that received national airplay and charted in the top 50 for their genre. He later played with The Classic Hawks, unofficially endorsed by local radio 104.1 The Hawk and performed at festivals and benefits. He has a solo Meditative/New Age CD under construction and recently composed sound tracks for the Indy Movie, Spot Check. His electronic compositions can be heard at www.reverbnation.com/synthesist
Michael Allison (Bass, Vocals) from Modesto has had a 35 year career playing all styles of music from R & B to Punk, Metal, Electronic and Progressive Rock. He's toured with such legends as Nona Hendryx (Patty Labell), Richard Hell (The Voidoids). Opened for Prince, Sonic Youth, Teardrop Explodes, Savoy Brown and The Vapours. Headlined at CBGB, Studio 54, The Peppermint Lounge & My Fathers Place in Long Island. He's recorded numerous sessions at studios such as Noise New York and Electric Lady Studios as a session player and as leader of his own group, Empty House. Michael's second calling is his solo project Darshan Ambient, writing and recording electronic compositions for Television, Film and Radio. He's released 9 albums on Lotuspike Label with the 10th studio album, A Day within Days, to be released in October 2010 www.darshanambient.com
Bobby Lynch (Drums) is a native Southern Californian and began playing drums in his teens. He has played in central valley bands for decades including Kast & Krew, Beat Bandits, Mommy Z, Mo Johnson and the Studebaker Blues Band at various Clubs, Festivals and Corporate functions. His influences are Alan White (Yes), Tony Brock (Baby's/Rod Stewart), Simon Phillips (Toto/The Who), John Bonham (Led Zepplin), Ansley Dunbar (Zappa/Journey) and Bill Gibson (Huey Lewis & The News). Bobby plays his drums every day and rounds this group out with solid rock drumming, dynamics and great timing. He has also invented a very unique and simple drum stick holder with hopes that it will be available soon at a music store near you.
