Biography:

Stage Parades are Peter Andersen and Steve Smith formed in 1974. We mainly upload music video these days as that is where our biggest fan base on You Tube lies. In 1994, we started to concentrate mainly on instrumentals but in 2020 we managed to add vocals. To date we have over 200 tracks in our portfolio. Our music varies widely and covers most genres from trance to soundtrack, from country to electronica, from easy listening to dance music.

Peter and Steve have been working together for 40 years musically and lyrically. Along with Debbie Hopkins-Davies and Sean Letchford, we produced 17 songs with Theatre Exce until 1994. Debbie and Sean shared the lead vocals. Since then Peter and Steve have produced instrumentals as Stage Parades, moving from North London to Cleveleys on the Fylde Coast in 2000.

NINE CD's are available 'Avenues Of Variation' from 2008 which is a best of compliation, proving our attempts at differing genres and 'Through Sands Of Time' a 2009 download CD distrubed to iTunes, Amazon, HMV, Napster and all leading download stores. Our aim is to release video instrumentals only for the forseeable future. We released the 3rd charity album 'Lights At The End Of The Tunnel' project in October 2010.

On the 23rd March, 2012 - We released the audio and video albums of 'Stage Parades At Sixty'. The audio album of 15 tracks from the 25 available to us is now available for download purchases at most internet download stores such as iTunes, Amazon, etc and on 27th January 2014 our 32 tracks mega album 'After Sixty' was released. Two of our tracks have recently been played on the Channel 4 'Hollyoaks' soap soundtrack and that's our focus for the next album.

Our 6th album 'Final Curtain' was released on 9th of April 2015 with 16 new audio and video tracks now completed. On the 16th February 2017 our 15 track 'Encore' 7th album was released and on the 18th of April 2018 we released the 'Open That Trap Door' the 8th album which previewed on both A1 and TR1 internet radio stations and has received the best acclaim of all our albums so far. Sadly, we lost our Twenty Summers cat Miss Ellie in June 2018 so to keep busy we decided to release a second album for 2018 (overall our ninth) titled 'The Show Goes On'

Always happy to collaborate with photographers trying to showcase their art and BANDS and DJ's - If you TWEET us for friendship, we guarantee to reciprocate there like here on Reverbnation.

“Steve and Peter, For ten years I have listened to fabulous music by you and I am happy to say that in my collection I have all seven albums. Encore is the last one and I love this album very much and have played it many times. I like all kinds of music, soft and beautiful as well as mighty, but It is not easy to tell which ones are fave tracks when all of them are masterpieces to me. Anyway, I have picked out a few ones - Chilled, The Legacy and Shades Of Atami are very beautiful, Rebellion is giving us some interesting voices together with great music, Letting Off Steam is one of the tracks with the best sound effects you can't miss and Particles is dramatic and powerful. I thank you for all your wonderful music and I want you to know that I am proud to have your albums in my home”

“The Final Curtain is a success with many masterpieces. The way the tracks are built up musically is outstanding. I listen thoroughly to them all and enjoy everyone. Some of them may sound a bit special to me for different reasons, for instance: Road To Riches, with lovely sounds of keys (my weakness) Artis, love the exotic sound My Destiny, very soft and beautiful Café Noir, again I love the distinct keys Phoenix, trance music with a wonderful interlude at 2:07 Fylde Coast, beautiful, soft and romantic The Finnish Line, mighty and dramatic Stormchaser, cheerful like a happy ending in a Movie My CD boxes are ready, I made two because I wanted the first half of the tracks to have a different inner side and backside picture than the second half. I wanted all album photos to decorate the boxes. Easy done and always a joy to make my boxes in my own way. Thanks very much for this new album, I really love your music. Ami xx”

“Stage Parades stage their biggest and best parade to date Stage Parades 5th album is BIG value for money featuring a bumper 32 tracks. Twenty of the tracks are new recordings, three are re-edits of currently unavailable material and nine tracks are previously unavailable as downloads. As always with Stage Parades, their instrumentals are diverse and cross many genres of music. The double album starts with the gentle and well received track 'Guiding Light' and my other highlights would be 'Avalon' 'Level 95' 'Intrigue' 'Westward' 'Steer' 'Hem Ljuva Hem' 'Robots' 'Go With The Flow' and 'Rainbow'. All tracks can be heard in full on You Tube videos where much lower quality mp3's are used. Enchanted Nights has been included as it was featured on Channel 4's Hollyoaks and many people have requested it. Two albums are now deleted, but At Sixty and Through Sands Of Time are both still available here on Amazon.”

“The 6th album from Stage Parades is once again full of diversity in musical genres. The opening track Road To Riches has you tapping your feet from the off and is followed by the sitar rich Eastern feel of Artis. My Destiny is probably the stand out track for their easy listening fans with Sunset Promenade, Fylde Coast and Exmoor Park within the same genre. Overload, Electric Catwalk and Nucleus are more electric pop, Cafe Noir has a jazzy piano feel to it and The Finnish Line has a James Bond soundtrack theme. The Old Empty Barn is another track which shows diversity and creative talent. The album gels well together and is great value. Finally must mention Phoenix which is a triumph of trance and a highly recommended listen. Check out their videos on You Tube. Encore Stage Parades, Encore...”

“Re:- Arch Rivale. This is Stage Parades At their Ultimate. I am hearing wonderful instrumentation here, uplifting and most glorious. I needed to return twice to really look upon the beautiful photos and once more as I have always loved doing, to weave the music and images together engraved upon my memory as a single creation, in full appreciation. Yet, I am held still, fully captivated by the beauty in your music. Stage Parades has matured and grown as have your followers to become those who appreciate the beauty and music.”

“I've listened to "A Country Mile" so much now, that it appears to have been set on "repeat" in my head! AT work, today, I was walking around in time to the guitar! And I've been meaning to say, too, how very interesting it is to have the guitar used as the tune's .... constant .... like that. I just love that so much.”
Donna Skidmore - Myspace Trap Door Clubbers

“Through Sands Of Time has a wealth of beautiful tracks. I have listened to them all on Stage Parades' MySpace site. One especially has become a favourite, one of the new tracks from 2009 - Keep Searching. The melancholy touch in the music together with the beautiful piano playing is outstanding. Look up the video on Stage Parades' YouTube site or on MySpace and sing along. More tracks will be found there in videos. I have been a fan for more than two years when I found Steve Smith and Peter Andersen's fabulous songs.”
Ami Hammenroth - Amazon Review

“It is always my great honour and sincere pleasure to show my respect to your work. Your wonderful productions created of the visions of others captured and melded with your wonderful music as well as the music of other greats are together some of the finest and bring me the greatest happiness. I thank you especially for combining my photos with the most beautiful "Blessed By Nature" theme. The beauty of nature that I was blessed to capture has never heard such music upon the earth except that which heralded creation into being. I remain most graciously ... Your Maricet”

“From their first album 'Avenues Of Variation' the band Stage Parades have excelled in providing instrumentals of amazing diversity. Personally prefer their ballads but recommend anyone to take a listen as you might find a gem somewhere in their large portfolio. ”
