JAMES EEDAY (a.k.a. James Ide) the magnetic front man of the Southern California dance hall band URBYN FYRE is immediately accessible and radio friendly while remaining true to both roots and the street. With a soul-touching vocal quality, he immediately draws the listener’s attention. This L.A.-born Japanese/American is also a skilled keyboardist and guitarist heralding from the highly respected Dick Grove School of Music.

 Fronting URBYN FYRE, JAMES EEDAY has performed in highly regarded rooms such as The Roxy, The Beverly Hills Hotel, Highlands, The Comedy Store, The Roxbury, The Cat & Fiddle, Winston's, The Belly Up Tavern, The White House, The Sandpiper, China Beach, The Light House, Twins Nightclub, Margaritaville, The Kellogg House and The Coach house to name a few.  He has opened for such artists as Steel Pulse, Burning Spear and Pato Bantan and has also been honored to perform for Sheryl Crow and producer Bill Bottrell at his hilltop estate in Glendale, CA.
    JAMES EEDAY is able to connect with his audience in an almost spiritual way, whether in the Marley-style idiom of his song 'Come My Way', or the sultry R&B style of 'Let’s Get It Together'. He is one of the few artists who has been able to successfully combine a smooth lyrical singing vibe with original dance hall style toast and rap.  Aside from his band, JAMES recently began performing as a solo singer/songwriter to rave reviews.  He is ready to bring his music to the nation, and has already received airplay on KROQs Native Wayne Show, KSBR and KCRW as well as been featured in the soundtracks to the films Breaking the Rules, Jamaica Beat, In Too Deep, the ALAN RUDOLPH movie, Sandcastle and the Disney Channel Original Movie, The Jenny Project. JAMES’ was also recently granted an exclusive interview and rotation for his newly released album ‘WHY SWEAT ME’ on XRADIO.BIZ which he produced as well.  JAMES also recently co wrote and performed the single ..MOVE YA FEET with producer Frank Fitzpatrick featured in the 2007 Disney Movie ‘JUMP IN’ starring Corbin Bleu from ‘High School Musical’.  Also with the help of his friend and note worthy guitarist Rodney Sheppard (SUGAR RAY) JAMES recently formed a new band (EEDAY) whose debut performance was for EXTRA TV hosted by Rodneys friend Mark McGrath (also from SUGAR RAY). Mark McGrath also featured EEDAY on a recent episode of the television show ‘EXTRA’ performing one of his original songs called SURRENDER.  He was recently honored to perform at the 2009 Newport Film Festival Awards and received an outstanding review by 944 magazine editor Don Bartolo.  JAMES recently recorded and performed with Ziggy Marley for a song called 'Express Yourself' for the 2011 Movie 'You Got Served:Beat the World' from the writer of 'Stomp the Yard' Robert Adetuyi.
