A mild-mannered sound technician by day, after hours he turns into the mad scientist DEAFLAM. Under this guise, he provides the netherworld with drunken funk beats and sampladelic tunes, all concocted in a home studio that knows no boundaries. Disembodied voices from found footage are warped to provide the vocals, although sometimes the man himself will pick up the mic to add his own slightly unsettling growl to the proceedings. Though he has occasionally added his scratches or bleeps to the work of assorted friends, Deaflam is not part of any group, scene or community. Deaflam just IS.”
