Biography:

Danny M Stewart makes, arranges, teaches and produces music, and performs in his Bass and vocal lead power trio formerly known as "Duality" but now entitled Danny M's Inno-bass-ion (after his innovative multi-part technique on bass guitar enabling him to play bass lines, chords and melodies simultaneously). His main thread for performance is an amalgam of "Groove" incorporating Funk, Electronica, Latin, Jazz, Pop and Rock.
In 2018 Danny started an new band with critically acclaimed classical pianist Michal Sobkowiak who adds a twist of classical to Jazz, RnB and Reggae arrangements.

Musical Background;

Over the years Danny has expanded from guitar and bass onto keyboards, drums and vocals. He makes music of all sorts for fun, and composes / arranges professionally too....
This explains why you hear so many different genres on this page.
"I just create music, I don't follow any particular style or trend because that confines creativity. I have performed a broad range of music and like to keep an open mind and embrace all music with respect and an open heart."
In detail, Danny played professionally for many years, toured abroad, recorded, taught, played all kinds of music from Jazz to Electronica, Soukous to Hard Rock...worked with some great people and just soaked up so many influences and sounds. He moved to Japan with his wife, settled down, became a father and focused on creating and producing music rather than performing. It wasn't until 2011 that Danny really started regularly performing live again, which was with his power duo format then named Danny M's Duality.
So to that end, most of the music you hear is all played, performed, composed, arranged and mixed by Danny himself.
Danny is a broad minded type, not a purist.
"I believe music is here to evolve, evoke, reflect and diversify and shape through technology and changing society. I love the way new amalgams of music happen and I love the fact that old music never dies, living on through new permutations. I love and respect all kinds of genres, my roots being in Folk, Hip-Hop, and Speed Metal, and growing through Funk, Latin, Soul, Motown, Classical and Electronica.... They are all related after all.
To me music is my Mecca, my temple, music is love....is life."
