Dead Guy Blues is a high energy guitar drivin’ garage blues/rock band based out of Cleveland Ohio. They’ve been performing for 7 years showcasing an all original song list and drop dead (no pun intended) guitar solos. Dead Guy Blues is Jeff Powers on guitar Chris Boross on Bass and Steve Zavesky on drums.
Dead Guy Blues is releasing their new CD “Cold Wind in Cleveland” and is putting together a full calendar of concerts and festivals starting with another big CD release party and concert to promote the release. The new CD has 9 powerful songs and a 7 + minute guitar instrumental that will knock your socks off!
John Benson of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reviewing the DEAD GUY BLUES’ debut CD writes, “There’s no denying the fiery passion found on the self-titled debut album from Cleveland trio DEAD GUY BLUES. The threesome’s 13 track disc reveals the outfit as modern-day disciples of Freddie King and Steve Ray Vaughan. Guitarist Jeff Powers’ talented chops are obvious in the blistering solos and catchy lead work.”
The band was formed by once classical guitarist turned blues guitarist Jeff Powers who honed his blues chops in Mexico City performing at colleges, jails, festivals and nightclubs. After returning to Cleveland Jeff recruited Chris Boross on bass (Colin Dussault Blues Project) and Steve Zavesky on drums (Deja Voodoo, Mojo Rising) and began performing and recording as Dead Guy Blues.
Dead Guy Blues has performed on many stages and opened for blues greats like Coco Montoya, Debbie Davies, Duwayne Burnside and Chris Duarte. On the strength of the new songs DGB is putting together a full concert schedule.

bands to play on my gig. DEAD GUY BLUES
