Originally from Saratoga Springs, NY, Johanna moved to Nashville in 2000 to work for Vanderbilt Sports Medicine as an Athletic Trainer. In 2002, she decided to change directions and learn guitar and the art of songwriting. Johanna had played violin since first grade. So getting back to music was just a part of her nature.
In Nashville, while Johanna became a member of the band, Shed, she continued to pursue her own individual songwriting and artistry. Her song "Do It Again" was placed on the webseries "Venice- The Series", as well as other songs that have been pitched to major TV shows and films.
Johanna has released the album "What It's Like To Fly", and the EP "Saricorn: Day 1", along with other singles. She continues to write and perform, always looking for a new angle and style that will challenge her musically.
