Nigel Arlington Welch Jr. (born March 8th, 1985)better known by his stage name Rashid Amir, is and American MC from Flatbush, Brooklyn NY. His name 'Rashid Amir' means rightly guided prince, chief, king, or commander. Amir began gaining recognition through R.Me, a collaboration of emcees J.Mandela and X.Maximus. Known for his uncanny ability to write and recite lyrics without the assistance of a pen or pad. Amongst his vast catalog of material, he has also worked, collaborated and featured with numerous independent artist.
