Biography:

If you’re looking for uncompromising, whiskey soaked, testosterone fueled rock n’ roll… you’ve come to the right place. The Creekwater Junkies’ bring their special brand of hard rock down on their audiences like a hammer; and they don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

Formed in the late summer of 2007 by founding members Chris “Gritz” Reitsma and Mitch “Cottonmouth” Cuming, the band started out as an excuse to throw down a couple of cocktails and jam some tunes. But it wouldn’t be long until Bryson “Fishhook” Emmons joined the crew and the core of the band came together.

It wouldn’t be until the end of 2008 however that the band released their debut 5 song debut EP “Off the Beaten Path”. Recorded with Adam Newcomb, the EP received much praise and commercial radio play, and it was this that prompted the band to realize they had something special and it was time to take their show on a bigger road.

Since then, the Junkies have found themselves playing all over Ontario in notable venues with many reputable acts including Gilby Clarke, Blackfoot, Crash Karma, Gentlemen Husbands, White Cowbell Oklahoma and numerous Ontario premier indie bands. They’ve won multiple battle of the bands competitions in various locations, received more radio play and reviews and have developed into a well-oiled rock n’ roll party machine.

With a debut album currently set to release in 2011, longtime friend Cody “Pig” Venne joining on bass and a growing legion of loyal fans, The Creekwater Junkies have but one goal: to bring their brand of rock n’ roll and a well earned hangover to any whose paths they cross.
