Freight Train’s debut album, Burnin’ Down The Station will be a welcome reminder
of what balls-out blues-based hard rock is supposed to be.
Burnin’ Down The Station is the return of everything that’s been missing from
the hard rock genre for a long, long time.
Freight Train is the shining embodiment
of what a power trio is.
The in-the-pocket sledgehammer drumming of Kevin Cunningham coupled with the thunderous dynamics of bassist Paul Farragher lay the ultimate foundation for Dirty Al's blistering guitar riffs, and raw, heartfelt vocals.
Organically recorded at Trakworx Studios and produced by Justin Weis and Freight Train.
These guys grew up listening to old school hard rock albums from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s and decided that to capture the warmth and awesome live tones Freight Train shows are known for, they’d have to record the old school way: using 2-inch analog tape and playing live in the room together as a band, which = no "fix its" via pro tools, no samples, no click tracks, no vocal tuning and recorded with the gear Freight Train uses live. What you hear is what happened in the studio!
What you get is an instant classic. With 11 original songs and 2 cover songs,
Burnin’ Down The Station is an album that will always be on your desert island list!.
Freight Train will be playing out in support of the album.
So don’t miss your chance to see Freight Train live and get rocked to the bone!
And don’t forget to grab a copy of the album so you can continue to
ride the rails with Freight Train!

Gods of Thunder Compilation CD
Band: Freight Train
Song: Overdrive - This is it man, the real thing! - cowbells, leather vests, fire and out-of-control locomotives. San Francisco's Freight Train deliver everything you love about full-tilt biker metal, from the headbanging riffs to the unabashed allegiance to grease, guts and good times.

“This band is influenced by bands like Rose Tattoo, NY Dolls, Kiss and Motorhead, so you know I was all over this CD. The guitar player is Dirty Al Duncan, who played with Johnny Thunders during the Que Sera Sera era, and who has a great playing style that reminds me of Montrose/Humble Pie/Ted Nugent, and is blues based, but in a Hanoi Rocks sort of way. The vocals remind me a lot of Zodiac Mindwarp & The Love Reaction
and the overall sound of the band is 70’s hard rock sleaze! This album features songs like: “Overdrive” which is not unsimilar to Cat Scratch Fever and the
Zodiac Mindwarp sounding “Doll”, as well as the sleazy sounding “Gotta Keep A Runnin” and the
Montrose-esque “Bound To Fail” and the appropriately named “Fire It Up & Crank It”, which name
checks both Motorhead and the Stooges!!! If you read any of my reviews, you’ll know that this style of
music is my lifeblood, so if you really dig sleazy guitar playing and booming 70’s style hard rock, you”

They know how to produce a balls to the walls sound of punk blues oriented hard rock ...
It is hard to believe the sound is from only three people ...
