Biography:

Hector Zapiain grew up in the State of Guanajuato, located in central Mexico. He developed a passion for rock music as a teenager, listening to such bands as Hombres G, Caifanes/Jaguares, Guns-N-Roses, Skid Row, and Metallica, among others. So he taught himself guitar and started his first band at 16. Then attended the School of Music at the University of Guanajuato for music composition at 18. He was awarded two grants from the Cultural Institute of Guanajuato to compose music for chamber ensembles. At this time, he became heavily influenced by Joe Satriani, and began composing music for the electric guitar. He then founded a new band called Benito Glamour which concentrated on all original classic rock music. The band became a local success in Guanajuato. Then he moved to the United States in 2006 and has continued to compose guitar music,perform both original and cover music, and produce music for other musicians.
