“Breath of Fresh Air -
"At the request of major label Atlantic Records, Omaha-based acoustic-rock quartet Oxygen will film its concert tonight for a video that the band will send to label reps. With influences of the Counting Crows and Dave Matthews Band, Oxygen has developed a local and regional following for its three-part harmonies."”

“Oxygen was honored to be accepted to Cincinnati's Mid Point Music Festival. They were able to record three tracks with a Sonic Bids producer while attending several seminars and receiving rave reviews. Oxygen finished the festival by gigging at the new and beautiful Buddakhan in downtown Cincinnati. The band and the crowd were amped and the show went off without a hitch. The band can't wait to get back to Cincinnati.”

“Searching for Success -
"...The music on I Can Finally Breathe hits its apex on the last two songs, 'Temptation' and 'Starfish Girl.' The latter features Cerny's crisp vocals in sweeping harmonies across the song's hook, along with some impressive acoustic guitar acrobatics. Set somewhere between the acoustic rock stomp of Jars of Clay and the wandering melodies of the Counting Crows, Oxygen's sound may be cast from 90s rock, but it is filled with solid songwriting."”

“...talents are taking off as the band, four Omaha natives, has signed a record deal with Cowbell Digital Music of Queensland, Australia. The band is expected to head down under for a tour at some point but is currently tracking its new album.
“With the new album, we’re trying to find a great hook in every tune, we really pay attention to current trends in radio and also what gets our fans going when we’re testing new material in the live shows,” said lead guitarist, Kevin Carlson.
Cowbell isn’t just a funny name for a label, it’s also a pretty progressive outfit. Its artists retain total copyright ownership of their work, fans can choose from various downloadable formats (they can also purchase just a single song or a full album) and the label even supports peer-to-peer file sharing “encouraging bands to earn recognition from a grassroots community of digital music aficionados,” according to an Oxygen press release.
