“Opal Hill is groovy! Full of extremely talented musicians. Bluesy rockish, relative to jive with, yet original enough to be unique. Almost in a genre of its own. Each song has its own feel. It’s the type of music you jam on the beach, or in the morning to start your day off in a positive mood. I like the dirt in the male singer’s voice and the power of the female vocals, both do amazing together on harmonies. Guitar solos win! Opal Hill would destroy the south eastern United States. It’s like Blues Traveler, Dave Mathews, and Skynyrd, had an illegitimate love child of soul rock.”

“Opal Hill Drive is the modern day blue collar ROCK band that gets you off your ass and on your feet. Catchy Riffs, great hooks and always a great show to see live! You have to give these guys credit for all their hard work!!!”

“Local Sounds: Opal Hill Drive "Opal Hill Drive works to bring Utah bands together." The members of Opal Hill Drive have been making sweet rock 'n' roll sounds for many years, and while they have built up quite the fan base, they are even more noted for their activism in the local music scene. The band has organized music festivals for both the winter and summer seasons that showcase a number of Utah bands and take place at Ogden City Amphitheater. The group has also utilized social networking sites to enable musicians to connect with one another and grow as band. Opal Hill Drive's love for their fellow musicians almost supersedes their own aspirations. It is their intense drive to support the local scene while simultaneously making great music that soothes your soul and makes you want to get your groove on. We talk to them about their successes as a band, why you should see a live show and how you can help change the future of music. ”

“JEDDIE DUFFY is songwriter and vocalist for national touring band Opal Hill Drive. Their debut CD has been released in retail stores nationwide and throughout Canada. Initial stock with Amazon sold ou...t in just four hours! Not surprising with a registered fan base of over 80,000! Jeddie's songs bring an instant sense of the Western mentality that is shaped by high mountains, homey valleys, sweeping plains, salt deserts, and the blue collar attitude that is a part of every day life in the world West of the Rockies. Songs such as "Opal Hill Drive" and "I Don't Want to Die" speak of daily sacrifice, hard work, and an understanding that life keeps moving even while, at times, we seem to stand completely still. ”

“Opal Hill Drive, Opal Hill Drive ***.5 “ Opal Hill Drive’s vocal team of Maddy Gilbert and Jeddie Duffey falls somewhere between jam band and Southern rock; touches of country, a musical recipe that has their instrumental finesse and urgency added by the male-female vocal coupling makes them one worth checking out, “bringing the house down” as they say, live, helping an establishment sell a lot of (insert your favorite brand of redneck beer here). “The Past” and “What Age Brings,” finding the band “feeling their age” but seemingly wiser although recalling countless episodes of “playing the fool.” The greater part of a decade they took perfecting their sound and creating a perfectly balanced recording makes this one of those sleeper local CDs that escapes a lot of hip indie best-of lists. ”

"Just when you start to feel like there will never be as fantastic a time in music again as when Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles were ruling the airwaves, a small band out of Utah comes along to change everything." While each song on the album is a treat for the ears, highlights definitely include “What Age Brings,” “Baby Blue,” and the heartbreaking “Table for Two.” "Opal Hill Drive proves they are as capable of beautiful guitar solos on songs such as “Damage Done” as much as they are hard rockin vocals on pieces like “Taking Its Toll.”" And while it is easy to dismiss “local” bands, " The album is beautifully mastered and it is hard to believe that it is a small, independent production; it leaves questions as to the professionalism of this small, “local” band." If this is just the beginning, I can’t wait to see what happens next.

“Opal Hill Drive- One of my last shows out of Utah, before moving to Los Angeles, was a 2 night performance with one of my favorite local Utah bands, Opal Hill Drive. Jedi, the lead singer, handed me a copy of their album before I hit the road and it has been on my regular play-list ever since. Gritty, raw, and real – their music is a reminder that life can be a beautiful challenge. My favorite song of theirs, “I Don’t Wanna Die” is a regular inclusion on mix CDs I make for myself and friends.”
