“As I announced last month we are teaming up with the Madison Hip Hop Awards to bring the Madison Hip Hop HHLO Peoples Choice Award on November 11th of this year! This is the first of many posts to come that will showcase each of the five nominees. Throughout the next few months we will give you music, videos, interviews and more from each one of them.
This first cut comes from Opal Ellyse. “Love Drug” is produced by A. Waxx and is a true story about how love isn’t always as perfect as it may seem in the beginning and that sometimes you need to dip out before shit gets real messy.
Since this process started I have been crazy impressed with the work ethic and determination Opal Ellyse demonstrates. I don’t have to worry about her making a deadline, then following up to make sure I am on point making my deadlines. She has the heart of someone that truly wants this Hip Hop thing and is willing to do whatever it takes to get it.
