“Hailing from South Carolina, singer/songwriter Noah gained viral attention online after he covered LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know it” (now with over 10 million hits) on his YouTube channel, where he uploads a new song every week.”

“The show was opened by Noah, an 18-year-old singer/songwriter from South Carolina who performed all songs acoustic and a capella with an acoustic guitar. His soulful voice entranced audience members from the lobby to their seats, lulling them quiet as they walked in to the beat of his rhythmic strum. During his hour-long performance, he covered songs by Mumford and Sons and Michael Jackson, as well as playing original songs. He closed by saying, “I am 18 and opening up for Neon Trees… This is a dream come true.””

“Carlton’s opener, teenage singer-songwriter and YouTube sensation Noah Guthrie, wowed just as much as the evening’s main draw. Best known for a performance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and opening for acts like Selena Gomez, the South Carolina native stunned with his smoky, romantic original music like the seductive “Adore” from his newest album. He also perhaps stole the show from Carlton with a soulful cover of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean.””

“Noah isn’t your average teen artist; his signature sound is more Americana than mainstream Pop and R&B. He has a voice that’s all his own, there’s no one to compare him to. (For those movie buffs out there, I’ll say his voice sounds like “a combination of Fergie and Jesus” haha!) And it seems Miss Gomez agrees with me. In an interview before her UNICEF charity concert, Selena raved about Noah saying “His voice is amazing, it’s beautiful.””

“This weekend, Fanlala attended the 2nd Annual UNICEF Charity Concert at the House of Blues Sunset Strip in Hollywood, California. In attendance were some amazing acts. Opening the event was newcomer and YouTube celebrity Noah Guthrie. His upbeat, chipper attitude gave off amazing vibes as he performed songs from his future album. His talent with a guitar coupled with his amazing voice can only mean great things for the seventeen year old as he pursues his career in music.”

“This guest post is written by singer-songwriter Noah Guthrie, a native of Greer, SC, who’s making it big. We’re so excited for him!”
