Bio
OneStarCity was born just one year ago, they have already proven that they mean business, and according to their myspace page, that business is making music that sounds pretty much like a ninja fighting a unicorn. OneStarCity earned a spot on the 2008 Vans Warped tour, released a full length album (Lion Fights in the Streets of Hollywood), have been feautured on numerous websites around the world, and garnered a rabidly loyal fanbase. They have been to Alberta twice, and plans for a cross-Canada tour in September are underway. OneStarCity consistently surprises promoters, fans, and random street people with their sound and live performance, and as an added bonus, they almost always smell nice and are mostly house trained.

Born out of the UK, the Northwest Territories, the interior of British Columbia, and Surrey, OneStarCity is poised to rock the music scene. James, Josh, Greg, Phil and Tom fill rooms with their exuberance and talent alone; the crowds that are attracted to them like moths to a lantern do further credit to their musical ability and showmanship.
Although OneStarCity was officially born in late 2007, they have pooled their combined recording and stage experience to accomplish much more than anyone expected in such a short time. The band's first studio album, "Lion Fights in the Streets of Hollywood," drops in the fall of 2008 and has already garnered the band some much-deserved attention. The pre-release has led to the band taking the stage at some high-profile venues, including Warped Tour, and OneStarCity has consistently shown fans and promoters that they mean business.
OneStarCity takes their music seriously, but they also know how to have fun, and their excitement is infectious. With sounds ranging from aggressive tracks that someone can swing a hatchet to, to more melodic and introspective tunes that are good for yachting, the band puts on a cathartic show that ranges the gamut of emotions, all while gaining the respect of anybody who happens to experience the energy, the ability, the performance, the sheer love of music, of OneStarCity.
