Rock / Indie / Rock
Bio
Oneside’s debut album, “First, To Last”, is full of structures, lyrics, and licks that are unabashedly plucked from the traditional American canon. But while other bands may play strictly in a conventional roots style, what sets Oneside apart is their willingness to take these traditional fundamentals and place them firmly in a modern context. If My Morning Jacket decided to cover Bill Monroe, chances are that it would come out sounding an awful lot like Oneside.
Press
"Jazzy, banjo driven rock. Sounds like it shouldn’t work, but it does. 'First, To Last', Oneside’s debut, overflows with innovative and excitingly fresh songwriting; just check out the spacey banjo effects on “Josephine” and you’ll know you haven’t heard anything like this before."
