New England based One Hand Free has spent the better part of a decade crafting solid, critically acclaimed rock songs and delivering fierce, electrifying performances to an international audience. The band is comprised of Andrew Blowen (lead vocals, Hammond organ, electric piano, synth), Josh DiJoseph (guitars), Geoff Taylor (bass) and Kelly Bower (drums). Reviews have frequently drawn comparisons to The Black Crowes, Government Mule, Free and Deep Purple; but digging a little deeper, one finds the band paying homage to old school Soul and R&B acts such as The Isley Brothers, Ike & Tina Turner, Al Green, and Wilson Pickett. The band's popularity and praise have grown exponentially with the 2008 release of their second album, Quadraphonic, and their appointment as 2008 Best Rock Band in the Portsmouth Herald Spotlight on the Arts readers poll.

 

One Hand Free has headlined hundreds of club dates in addition to sharing bills with artists such as Will Dailey, and Eddie Money, as well as members of The Allman Brothers Band, Godsmack, The Outlaws, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and The J.
