He has been described as talented, amazing, great, and skilled yet the young producer not yet 18 years of age humbly describes himself as aspiring and mediocre, when we asked Omari how he feels about his work his response was as follows; "I'm not sure really, like I guess I'm pretty good but I'm trying to get where my name rings bells like Pharrel's, Kanye's, Just Blaze's, DJ Khaled or Scott Stortch". Omari tells me that his humility in our interview might shock many if not all the people he interacts with, "You see, I present myself as real conceited, overly confident, cause like yeah sure I'm confident but I blow it up cause I know a few things, and that kind of helps me keep to myself while still interacting with people everywhere I go", I chuckle when he tells me this, it seems this youngster has an interesting view of the world. Further probing, I ask him what made him get into music production and he tells me, "Well, My uncle is an emcee and producer out in California now, he's worked with tons of industry heads and I've always thought that was pretty wicked, so thats definitely one reason, I've also always had a strong affinity to music and especially hip hop, I used to rhyme but I was garbage" here he laughs, reminiscing about this statement "that didn't work out to tough, I had my whole rhyme scheme twisted, I actually started producing cause my uncle told me that making my own beats would help me hone my skills on the mic. but once I started that was it. At first it sucked cause I went out and bought an M-Audio interface that I couldn't afford and I wasn't where I thought I should be, but it just takes time to get there, I understand that now". Indeed, Omari has the uncanny ability to present himself as being considerably older than he really is so I decided to ask him what advice he might offer other youth who were interested in producing, his response, "Practice makes perfect, so stay at it 'till You have it"
