Bio
Ollan Bell has been in the entertainment business since 1961 and has been in the business for more than 40 years.
His singing backround comes from the church and his mother's teachings who was a professional singer. At the age of 10, Ollan started playing bass guitar and at the age of 12, made his vocal solo.

Ollan founded the group the Natural Four in 1968. They released their first single entitled "I Thought You Were Mine" on Boola Boola Records. This recording landed them a contract with ABC Dunhill Records in 1969. While on ABC Dunhill they released "Natural Four, Good Vibes". The hit single on this LP was "Why Should We Stop Now". In 1972 Ollan met Curtis Mayfield and signed to his label, Curtom Records, and recorded three albums, "Natural Four", distributed by Buddah Records, "Natural Four, Heaven Right Here on Earth" and "Natural Four, Nightchased", distributed by Warner Bros.
During the '70's he performed and shared the stage with Earth, Wind & Fire, The Temptations, Kool & The Gang, The Isley Brothers, Curtis Mayfield and more. He has composed and distributed more than 200 songs in various albums throughout the world and has also trained and produced singers from Paris, Japan, England and the United States.
In 1987 Ollan married John Lee Hooker's daughter Zakiya Hooker. He produces all of her albums and administers the BWTH (Boogie With The Hook) recording studio to which he is Vice President of and also The John Lee Hooker Foundation. A foundation dedicated to the musical education, development and health of children and new artists.
In the late 90's he became the right hand man, and helped produce projects with the legendary, grammy winning John Lee Hooker.
Now he finds himself touring around the world in places like Argentina South America where he has become a well known artist. At the same time he has also ventured into Thailand with shows in Bangkok and coproduced Blues Festivals in the island of Koh Samui with the Cocoblues Company.
Ollan also gives clinics for singers and talks on the history of Afro-American music.
