☣☢▲ DEATH WAVE DISCO ▲☣☢ Auckland, New Zealand, September 2013 New Zealand’s premiere dark electronica festival is gearing up for another installment showcasing the nation’s finest practitioners of underground music, dance, and craft. DWD encompasses a diverse range of industrial-influenced musical genres; fusing contemporary dance, interactive high-energy performance art, and gothic fashion. Attendees have the opportunity to participate in a unique and rarely publicised culture. Once inside the venue the opulent cocktail bar and leather-clad lounge gives way to a high ceiling concrete chamber and through a haze of fog and light a host of dark-end musicians and performance artists will demonstrate their varied talents. This incarnation of the event has already seen the return of sponsors from the initial event; highly respected venue, “James” of Parnell alongside studio gallery and existing patron of underground culture Nature: Art + Design.
