Bio
Just me. Got a keyboard for the drum tracks and even the bass lines in some songs. The other members figured they had other more pressing things to do in life so they are no more.
I may be interested in a new singer or even entire band. But I don't think I am right now. If you're interested, talk to me. Maybe we can shake something.
About
Welcome to The Shoppe
Just picture yourself walking into a Novelty Shoppe. What do you see? Variety, no two things are alike. Novelty Shoppe has no two songs alike, each have unique characteristics that make up the Shoppe. Mostly rock but a little of everything else from old school rock to present day sounds mixed in with some blues and jazz, committed to quality with music that has soul, passion, drive and emotion. I live music, creating and being inspired like most artists, from life, love, heartache and every thing in between, treating music as a way of life.
Novelty Shoppe was fore seen by Ricky in 1999, his vision, recreated in these choice words, "I see music as an extension of my soul and I use music as an embodiment, a vessel that carries the hand that touches the souls of those who listen. You can't touch everybody unless you can relate to everybody".
In March of 2007 Ricky was told of a drummer, named Larry Gardner, which he just had to check out. They were both tired of the "let's start a band" and all the disappointing tries that had spoiled in the past. He almost didn't go. Needless to say he went, and was astounded by what he heard. Rick and Larry had such chemistry together from the beginning. Fate, finally had happened! Thus the birth of Novelty Shoppe!
On December 13th, 2007, after 8 months of vigorous, relentless and sometimes never ending hours of practice, Novelty Shoppe had landed the opportunity to record at Eclipse Studio's in St. Augustine, Florida to cut a 5 song demo. The demo label feature's the artistic talent of Ricky who has also designed the artwork for the logo and numerous web pages for the band. Novelty Shoppe has just recently opened the door to a bass player named James Mercer. James brings a bit of a different musical style to the Shoppe, furthering and enhancing the originality of the band.
And finally to make a long story short, Larry, James, and Jessica decided to quit.
