"REWIND is a fantastic album, I've heard so much about this great singer and thought I`d see what all the fuss is about. I had the pleasure of meeting Nicolette, a fantastic woman who loves her music and performing & who is bubbly & outgoing with a laid back character. The album starts with 'Rewind' talking about turning back the clock. One thing I love about this album is her songs tell everyday life in one fantastic album. On another level is her live performance. I have heard Nicolette Live with her band The Revs. Absolutely stunning performance. She has a great ability to draw you in, leaving you transfixed in her world with her sensational sound of music and vocals. There aren't many artists out there that can draw you in like she can. This is a MUST BUY for anyone who wants to find out more about Nicolette. 'Running out of time'... lyrics in the opening track 'Rewind'. This Rock Chick’s career can go to higher ground and it`ll be years before this sassy siren runs out of time"
“‘Wild Child’ has almost Fleetwood Mac-style fretwork that compliments her voice perfectly. It shows that when she’s able to play on her femininity instead…, she’s a star. Opening track ‘Rewind’ is also good in that it gets the strength of emotion in the rock star ballad way, but doesn’t over-egg the pudding with the usual instrumental elements. Even better is that it’s the title song, meaning she’s most proud of this. It’s hard to blame her, but there’s still better.
‘Time Can Heal’ is a great closing song. It’s got the odd element of Corinne Bailey Rae – a beautiful spectrum of choral vocal talent…. ‘Time Can Heal’ captures emotion like no other song on the album. ….she could seize on a relaxed musical medium she could become a UK leader at.
NB: While ‘You Sin Me’ wasn’t on the original copy, its late inclusion on the album is definitely worth it. Her attempt at reggae is excellent. More of this please, too.
