“Mason is praised for his drum work on the band’s song "Life's Tough"”
"Mason is a drummer who's capable of some dazzling fills, and it's clear he leads from the rear."
“Percussionist Nick Mason held everything together. No fancy moves, just solid rock drumming.”
“Nick is one of the easiest session drummers I've worked with. He takes direction from the producer and the artist extremely well and knows when to add his flavor into the mix. And it's the kind of flavor that causes neck injury inducing head banging...so that's awesome.”
“Never has found-object percussion been this exciting.”

“WhooooooOoooo! Fuck'n A!”
“The surprise hit of the night was BANG! PrimEvil Percussion, a simple atmosphere drum show which wandered the park. As pictured in the photo above, the musicians chose some dramatic locations to perform, such as right in front of Firefall and a spotlight in front of Drop Tower. These guys brought kinetic energy to areas that were otherwise lacking. Plus, the beats and rhythms were nicely composed and easy on the ears. I caught BANG!‘s performance twice during my visit and was throughly impressed each time.”
“Q: "Which is harder: Comping or Soloing?" A: "Soloing! Drum solos really put you on the spot and if they are not really well written like the stuff Godsmack or Neil Peart does they can be very boring to the average concertgoer"”
"Finally, A Cover that attracts people to a party" "More than 150 people showed up - family, friends, sponsors and famous peers, including Nick Mason and Kenny Aronoff."
"Rock Nation, a progressive music school franchise in Los Angeles, has just opened its Studio City branch. Now offering drum instruction from session player Nick Mason"
"Hello, Modern Drummer readers! I know everyone who writes a blog on here starts it out the same way, but honestly how else are you supposed to do it? I’m sure most of you are scratching your head wondering just who I am; well, obviously I am not a guitarist. I’m a drummer who is here to share a little more knowledge, pass of a few more tricks, and maybe inspire some of you to do great things."
“I like to sit back and the rest of the band come up with parts, then I add a drum track to it. This way the drums will fit better with the music, and move the song along, not over power it.”
“I love outdoor concerts, any time I get the chance to play with the sun on my back I am at my happiest on stage. Most of the time I am always in a dark concert hall or club. I jump at the chance to do outdoor work.”
“Mason has some impressive notes on his musical resume as well.”
