About
NSJ first came about in the mid 1980s with the purchase of an early cassette port-studio, a borrowed mono synth and drum machine, not to mention a variety of ropey effects. Influenced by early 80s synth pop, Kraftwerk, Cabaret Voltaire and other early innovators of electronic music, the sound gradually developed with a steady stream of equipment along with new influences such as EBM, Industrial and the early 90s dance sounds of Orbital, Underworld and the like.
The current work of N-S-J attempts to fuse the melodic sensibilities of 80s electronica with the more in depth sound of subsequent artists in the electronic music field, hopefully creating an interesting and varied hybrid of the two?
