About

Necrosis is born in 1985, but it was only in 1987 when it became a flull-fledged band, began tape-trading the demo tape "Kigdom Of Hate" along with vocalist Andrés Marchant . Necrosis, next to Pentagram, Warpath and Dorso, was then the most successful band locally and abroad.

"Kingdom of Hate" received great reviews in local and international fanzines, even in the renowned Morbid Magazine, where Kingdom of Hate charted nº19 among the 25 best demo tapes for the year 1987. Necrosis toured the country and managed to sell 1500 copies of Kingdom, unmatched achievement for the budding local metal scene.

These sessions featured singer Andrés Marchant. Signing to Heavy Metal Maniac Records NECROSIS cut the 1988 album 'The Search', although by this stage the group's line up had changed to incorporate second guitarist Nataniel Infante and new bassist Rodrigo Westphal. The band subsequently drafted the PENTAGRAM credited Alfredo "Babe" Peña on bass, but the band folded in the early nineties following Peña's suicide.

Toxic Records re-issued 'The Search' in 1997. NECROSIS would reform in 1999 with Andy Nacrur and Nataniel Infante being joined by new faces including ENIGMA singer Gustavo Robles, guitarist Cesar Añasco and ORATEGOD bassist Victor Trujillo. The latter would soon exit to join Death Metal band TOTTEN CORPSE and Rodrigo Onetto, an ex-member of UNDERCROFT, EXECRATOR and CAOS, was enlisted to record the December 2001 album 'Enslaved To The Machine'.

The new look NECROSIS performed 2002 gigs with PENTAGRAM and CRIMINAL but then Añasco decamped, being substituted by Javier Bassino, and in turn the TORNADO veteran Daniel Duarte. A further switch saw Rodrigo Onetto being superseded by a returning Víctor Trujillo. After a few giga the band splits for a couple of years.

2006 is an eventful year in the life of the band. Rodrigo Westphal returns to fill the bassist position and César Añasco takes once again lead and rhythm guitar duties to complete a lineup that combines both classic and mature Necrosis. Plans to record and play a number gigs have now made this a promising time for Necrosis, the ultimate Chilean thrash band.
