Midtown Music Showcase, held in the Evelyn Hills Shopping Center in Midtown Fayetteville, is happening Saturday, September 13th, from noon-5pm. The mission of Midtown Music Showcase is to help revitalize Fayetteville’s Midtown area through bringing together local artists and businesses to generate funding for a higher purpose. There will be music, games, food, and fun! The local music lineup for the Showcase is: 12:30-2pm: Irie Lions 2:30-4pm: National Park Radio The event will be raising money for Appleseeds, Inc., a local non-profit organization that “develops and implements programs that educate and excite children about fruits and vegetables.” Appleseeds is opening an Urban Teaching Farm that will be right next door to the Co-op, and to jumpstart that development, Ozark Natural Foods donated $5,000 in 2013 and $20,000 in 2014. Midtown Music Showcase will raise money for Appleseeds through a silent auction, dunk tank tickets, and a percentage of sales from a beer garden sponsored by Saddlebock Brewery. Midtown Music Showcase is currently looking for local sponsors for the event, as well as local celebrities to sit in the dunk tank throughout the event to raise money for Appleseeds. If you or your business is interested in setting up a booth at the event, sponsoring the event, or sitting in the dunk tank, please contact Lisa Garrett (lisa@onf.coop or 479.521.7558), the event coordinator.
