Nathan Chamberland is an award-winning composer and home-made songwriter. He has

been into music for as long as he can remember. Humming John Williams scores since the age of 3, Nathan already had the gift. Orchestral music played constantly in his head.
He got a guitar at age 11, grew his hair long, and soon was playing in rock bands... because it was cool...
From there, he wrote or collaborated on many songs in the alt rock vein. All the while, that same orchestra music played in his head. As he grew though, his music changed. It became more melodic and his style explored many genres all over the map. Rock was not him anymore. Perhaps it never was.

In 2007, Nathan tried his hand at composing a full orchestral score. The results were astounding! The responses like never before! This was his calling! This is what he was intended to do, he just didn't listen carefully enough to that music playing inside him.

The rest is history!

Though at times you can catch Nathan performing live with a band, he prefers to write and record privately in his studio, and rarely  performs his OWN material live as it is intended for post productions. Nathan continues to write music for other artists and productions, and is currently working in the motion picture industry as a score writer. From all of the different styles and experiments, Nathan has become a well-rounded musician capable of composing in many diverse genres. 

Nathan uses state-of-the-art software, instruments and hardware to create professional-quality productions for use with film, TV, radio and video games. All of his music comes first from his head and then he translates those ideas in his studio.

    "My ideal picture is 'my music, someone else's voice.", says Nathan of his lyric-based songs. In that regard, most of his music (both songs and orchestral compositions) is ready to be licensed for any production or any performer. When asked what his ultimate goal is, his response is a simple one, "To pay the bills with my ideas."

All of these works were composed, performed, engineered, produced and mastered by Nathan Chamberland in his recording studio, "Sonic Myst Labs".
